Alexander Beresford's Secret Life
My first short story was ... written in my teens. "Love vs Hate", a boxing match where Hate begins losing, but eventually cheats and wins. The crowd loves the excitement and cheers him to victory.
My first completed screenplay was ... FIVE DEMONS ... a martial arts action thriller about a young woman skilled in Shaolin Kung Fu who intercepts a hit on her police officer father, thus making it her business to find out who and why, while the police, and her own father, attempt to keep her from the unsettling truth.
My parents were... exceptional. Still are. I'm afraid to think what my life would've been like without both of them.
The household I grew up in ... had a ghost boy I used to play hide and seek with.
When I was a child I wanted to be ... a detective. One of our babysitters was in the police academy and she sparked my interest with her stories. I also enjoyed watching Starsky and Hutch (watched them filming a few times in LA), Bareta, and Adam-12. Now I wish I could be a Guitar God!
You wouldn't know it but I am very good at ... blues harmonica.
At night I dream of ... flying, often. And I have a recurring dream where I'm a Knight in a medieval castle ready to move up a long stairscase with sword in hand. It's a tense moment.
I wish I had never worn ... a white tuxedo. With white shoes. And white gloves, too. In High School so I suppose I can be forgiven for being young and naive.
What I see when I look in the mirror ... a handsome devil. He's always over my shoulder to the right.
My favorite item of clothing … a comfortable t-shirt.
My favorite work of art ... a unique oil painting my artist friend Rey Armenteros painted of my daughter when she was five.
My favorite building ... the haunted Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables Florida.
A book that changed me ... The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. And Stephen King's The Stand.
Movie heaven ... The Lord of the Rings extended edition ... Quentin Tarantino directing one of my screenplays.
The first album I owned ... Wings "Band on the Run".
My secret crush ... *** ******.
My five-year plan ... Los Angeles, Movies, Health and Publishing.
